Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$121,500 - $228,800The Bioproduct Research and Development organization strives to deliver creative medicines to patients by developing and commercializing insulins, monoclonal antibodies, novel therapeutic proteins, peptides, oligonucleotide therapies, and gene therapy systems. This multidisciplinary group works collaboratively with our discovery and manufacturing colleagues.
Responsibilities:
Hands-on development and implementation of automated data analysis solutions for lab workflows, bridging scientific expertise with advanced computing capabilities to accelerate pharmaceutical development and manufacturing processes.
1. Scientific Data Analysis Pipeline: Streamline, develop, and scale complex scientific data transformation and analysis, including chromatography, mass spectrometry, and multi-detector data. Harmonize and standardize analysis workflows across teams.
2. Morden Data Management: Implement quality control checks and chain of custody to meet regulatory compliance for data integrity. Automate workflows for method transfer, validation, and data integrity compliance.
3. Disruptive Technologies: Apply AI/ML models to enhance data analysis, interpretation, and predictive capabilities. Continuously evaluate and adopt state-of-the-art tools and methodologies for innovative solutions.

Minimum Requirements:
- Education: B.S. or MS in Computational Biology, Biophysics, Bioinformatics, Computer Sciences, or related field with 8+ years’ direct working experience in data science and digital transformation; or PhD. With 2+ years of experience in data science and digital transformation.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, MATLAB, or similar scientific computing languages.
- Strong background in biologics, bioinformatics, project management, and DevOps
- Proficiency in data science analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, numpy, scikit-learn)
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and HPC environments
- Ability to translate complex scientific requirements into technical solutions
- Experience with laboratory data systems (LIMS, ELN, Chromatography Data System)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
- Excellent collaboration skills with both technical and scientific teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Familiarity with scientific software (e.g., Empower, Unicorn) and tools like KNIME, JMP, Power BI, or Spotfire.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical analysis methods and instrumentation
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical product development workflows and regulatory requirements, and knowledge of work in GxP or non-GxP environments.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and experimental design is preferred but required.
