WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking an experienced Antifraud Data Engineer, who combines data analytical skills with the ability to design and implement scalable, data-driven solutions for fraud detection and prevention. This role requires a self-starter who can operate at a strategic level while collaborating across teams to build unified and effective antifraud systems.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in fraud detection or risk analytics, coupled with advanced skills in analytics, data processing and machine learning. He also shall be able to communicate complex findings to the cross-functional teams.

You will join Data Engineering team, taking responsibility for analytical data pipelines, collecting, processing and using data about potential fraudulent activities. Your main stakeholder will be the Head of Security, who oversees fraud risk mitigation. We expect a candidate will be able to design consistent approach to a fraud preventions in Manychat, making next step from ad-hoc measures to unified solution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Execute Fraud Prevention Initiatives: Conduct analytics to detect fraudulent activities across Manychat platform (eg. spam, fraud, billing abuse, trial abuse detection).
2. Develop Advanced Machine Learning Solutions: Design and improve machine learning services to detect and prevent fraud across the Manychat platform.
3. Ensure Data Integrity and Availability: Establish and maintain robust pipelines for collecting, processing, and storing data critical to fraud detection.
4. Empower Teams with Insights: Develop intuitive alerts and BI dashboards to identify anomalies and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

Must haves:

• Technical Expertise in Data Analysis and Statistics: Deep understanding of mathematical statistics, including statistical modeling, data classification, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics. This includes the ability to interpret data patterns and translate them into actionable anti-fraud strategies.
• Advanced Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets, Python for developing custom fraud detection models. Familiarity with Snowflake, BigQuery or similar tools for fraud-related data storage and querying.
• Fraud Detection and Prevention Knowledge: Hands-on experience with fraud detection techniques such as rule-based systems, machine learning models, and behavioral analytics. Familiarity with implementing and fine-tuning fraud scoring systems and thresholds, or similar ML models.
• Strategic Thinking and Problem Solving: Ability to think strategically and anticipate potential vulnerabilities or fraud vectors. Experience in proactively identifying risks, proposing solutions, and implementing systems to address them effectively.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration Experience: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to implement anti-fraud features and initiatives effectively.

Nice to haves:

• Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, or Power BI) for creating actionable visualizations and dashboards.
• Previous experience in designing antifraud systems.
• Experience with LLMs, embedding and various NLP technics.
• Experience with building robust ETL pipelines.
• Experience with Git for managing code and data pipelines.
• Familiarity with AI-driven fraud detection techniques and interest in emerging technologies in this space.
