Meet the team:

The Software Update team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining  tooling and infrastructure for engineers and teams across Latitude to be able build and update software on our driver assistance system, and we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our team.  The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, including a proven track record of delivering a production software update system. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features, optimize performance, and ensure the scalability of our software update solution.

What you’ll do: 

  • Ensures the on-schedule success of team milestones from definition to delivery
  • Collaborate internally and with cross functional stakeholders, including Product, Safety, and Security, to get technical buy-in on quarterly objectives and large, cross-cutting effects
  • Architect and implement tests across different modalities to ensure the Software Updates function integrates with the rest of the system
  • Present information and ideas through a variety of media to various levels of the organization. You’ll need to be able to handle executive summaries to leadership,  and be able to dive into the details when needed

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a related field and 4+ years of relevant experience (or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or PhD)
  • In-depth knowledge of C++ programming language and object-oriented design principles
  • Strong problem solving skills and algorithm design experience
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have: 

  • Previous experience with robotics 
  • Previous experience with developing in a Linux environment
