About the team:

Capco’s Data Team helps our clients transform every aspect of their business.  We are highly skilled at formulating data strategy, defining business and technology initiatives across the data management lifecycle, and aligning multi-year strategic roadmaps with client’s business goals. As digital technologies advance and regulations tighten, today’s consumers – and, therefore, today’s businesses – are becoming more aware of the importance of good quality data. We work to establish holistic ways to effectively manage data through the modern data supply chain and facilitate consumption through analytics, modelling, AI, machine learning, dashboarding, and reporting.

About the Job:

As a member of our Data Team, you will work across Capco’s different domains and solution offerings to help break down large problems, develop approaches and solutions. As a Data Engineer, you will create analytics reporting and provide data-driven strategic insights, trends, and perspective to help drive transformation for our clients.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of client needs, current systems, and workflows to identify potential gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate business requirements into user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria, ensuring clear and concise communication to the development team.
  • Create presentations to be presented to stakeholders and key leadership.
  • Document business processes and associated risks, assumptions, and dependencies.
  • Define user stories and associated acceptance criteria.
  • Create User Acceptance Testing (UAT) documentation, identifying process scenarios, exceptions, and their expected outcomes.
  • Work closely with Data Management data architects and data analysts to understand and assist with the creation of their solution design, ensuring they deliver a solution that meets the business requirements.
  • Participate in a consultative role in solution testing and production implementation.
  • Manage Use Case Backlog and In Progress items.
  • Assist in compiling required status reports and dashboards for Line progress.
  • Participate in design discussions and provide valuable insights and suggestions from a functional and user perspective.
  • Contribute to the creation and review of wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications to ensure that the design effectively addresses business needs and user requirements.
  • Actively participate in daily stand-ups, providing status updates, addressing any obstacles, and promoting a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Identify and track bugs, issues, and risks, working with the development team to address them promptly and effectively.

What You’ll Bring with You:

  • 3-4+ years working as a Technical BA
  • 3-4+ years working on Agile projects
  • 2-4+ years of SQL experience (Oracle and SQL Server, MongoDB a plus)
  • 3-4+ years of Data Analysis/Trouble shooting
  • 3-4+ years writing Business Requirement, Technical Design and Data Lineage Documents
  • Ability to interpret business requirements into technical requirements
  • Strong Meeting Facilitator
