JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Data Integration Analyst with the Systems Team within UDX Consumer Insights provides support for leaders across the division by using the Alteryx data platform to transform research data for use in reports, dashboards, and further analysis. This position requires a person who is comfortable with databases, SQL (Structured Query Language), and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, as the Senior Data Integration Analyst will be responsible for managing separate survey data sources, standardizing, and storing them appropriately in databases that they oversee, setting the standard for database structures and integrated workflows that power advanced reporting and insights. To be successful in this position, candidates will need a high degree of conscientiousness and take ownership of the cleanliness and quality of the data. Workflows and standards that are created by the CI Senior Data Integration Analyst will be used widely to move and transform data, preparing it for reporting and further consumption by partners within Universal Destinations & Experiences.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Takes the lead in modifying and blending data collected from core surveys for use in critical reporting by designing complex workflows in the Alteryx application to move data, validate data, standardize data, and create derived data.
  • Modifies and blends data collected from other surveys and systems for use in other reporting by designing workflows in the Alteryx application to move data, validate data, standardize data, and create derived data.
  • Establishes standards for workflow design as well as database structures, based upon feedback from colleagues, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Creates and manages new data structures (extracts, fields, tables, views, etc.) and validates collected data using other sources to assist the reporting and analysis of survey data.
  • Helps maintain databases and data connections used with survey data.
  • Works on self-directed special projects to enhance professional abilities, department initiatives, or efficiencies.
  • Configures APIs used to connect data sources.
  • Maintains familiarity on all systems and processes utilized by the UDX CI Systems team.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: 

  • Bachelors Degree is required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of exemplary performance as a Data Integration Analyst, or 6+ years of equivalent experience in data management, data transformation, and database development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Advanced expertise with the Alteryx data transformation platform.
  • Advanced understanding and experience working with databases, tables, variable types, and variable attributes.
  • Experience with SQL-related tasks such as query development, database checks, table design, joins, stored procedures, as well as database backup and recovery procedures.
  • Experience creating and modifying ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data migration.
  • Experience in Snowflake platform architecture and its functions/features.
  • Desire and experience in designing the most effective data storage solution for reporting purposes and take proactive ownership of the "cleanliness" of that data.
  • Desire and experience establishing standards in data workflow design, database design, and ETL processes based upon industry trends and best practices.
  • Ability to mentor, teach, and assign tasks to junior team members in topics such as using Alteryx, workflow design, database design, and related best practices.
  • Technical and quantitative reasoning skills with a desire to understand survey questionnaires, research methodologies, and the purpose of the research.
  • Highly collaborative team player who proactively seeks input and feedback before, during, and after development, is an excellent problem-solver, and is able to think creatively to find solutions to the issue at hand.
  • Flexible with tasks, able to quickly adapt to changing priorities and tight timelines.
  • Familiarity with survey data variable types and nuances.
  • Expertise with Tableau reporting software is preferred but not required.
  • Expertise with Python programming language is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with Qualtrics survey software platform will help in this position.
  • Familiarity with SPSS or similar analytical software will help in this position.
  • Understanding of statistical concepts such as significance testing, weighting, Z-Test, etc. will help in this position.
