We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our R&D team and play a key role in driving drive Sentra’s growth among cloud-based companies across the globe.You will be part of the Classification team, responsible for developing and optimizing our classification engine and detection systems, including the Data Detection and Response (DDR) framework.

Beyond these core functions, our team manages Sentra's MLOps infrastructure and orchestrates various data pipelines, ensuring smooth data flow and processing across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Play a crucial role in Sentra's Classification and Detection components, driving their development and optimization.
• Design and develop scalable, data-intensive, realtime solutions
• Collaborate with R&D teams, product managers, and customer-facing solution engineers to deliver end-to-end features and tackle complex engineering challenges
• Lead and establish engineering best practices, including code standards and quality guidelines, while mentoring team members in their implementation
• Drive the architectural design and technical direction of key data processing components, ensuring scalability and maintainability

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing backend software using a high-level language such as Python.
• Experience in architecting and developing cloud data intensive, large-scale, distributed systems
• Experienced in working with micro-service architecture and cloud-native services
• Deep understanding of software design principles, including concurrency, synchronization, memory management, data structures, and algorithms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Customer-oriented mindset with a strong problem-solving approach.
• Self-motivated, passionate, and proactive with the ability to take ownership of tasks.
• Excellent ability to prioritize, organize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative team player with strong communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of the Cybersecurity domain.
• Experience in Data Science or Data Analytics.
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript in addition to Python.
