Kody, a fast-growing Fintech specialising in bringing online payments and better financial services to brick and mortar businesses.

About the Role

At Kody, data is at the heart of our decision-making, and we are looking for a Data Analyst who will not only deliver actionable insights but also empower teams across the business to become more data-driven.

In this role, you will be the internal champion for data analytics and reporting, ensuring that Looker is fully utilised as our self-service BI tool. You will mentor and train colleagues from multiple departments, helping them become self-sufficient in accessing and interpreting data. At the same time, you will create and maintain high-impact dashboards that are critical for the business, proactively identifying reporting needs before they arise.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys translating data into business value, enabling others to work effectively with data, and driving a culture of data literacy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the primary advocate for data analytics across the business, ensuring that Looker is widely adopted and used effectively.
  • Mentor and train colleagues from multiple functions to use Looker as a self-service analytics tool.
  • Proactively identify business needs and create dashboards that deliver actionable insights.
  • Develop, manage, and optimise Looker models, dashboards, and reports, ensuring they are intuitive and aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand key challenges and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity within Looker and across reporting structures.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives and business growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in BI, data visualisation, and analytics to continuously improve how we work with data.

Requirements

  • A passionate advocate for data with a strong desire to help others make data-driven decisions.
  • Experienced in Looker (or similar BI tools) and comfortable training and supporting non-technical users.
  • A strong communicator who can translate complex data concepts into actionable insights for business teams.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive, with a mindset for continuous improvement and problem-solving.
  • Proficient in SQL and comfortable working with data at scale. Experience with Python or R is a plus but not required.
  • Familiar with data governance, modelling, and best practices to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Benefits

  • We're a fast growing, exciting company within a rapidly developing industry. You'll be surrounded by super ambitious individuals who think really big.
  • Remote only, but we meet a few times a year to get together as a team.
  • Annual learning and development allowance on training related to your role
  • Allowance to spend on your home office set-up (excluding your laptop, monitor, etc which are already part of the job. This allowance is for making your workplace comfy)
  • Every year you'll get 25 days of holiday leave plus an extra day of leave for life events like your birthday
  • Enhanced parental leave
