Talent Operations is responsible for providing both strategic guidance and tactical support in the administration and support of policies, procedures, and systems, in support of the NRG Talent & Culture vision. Members of the organization will act primarily as internal consultants who are responsible for representing the business in terms of the following activities: understanding and communicating business requirements, assuring policies and procedures are followed, and systems are being used in accordance with the rules and structures as designed. Communication, training, and the infrastructure to support both, are also core components of the role that team members share. Additionally, key responsibilities are as follows:
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manager, Talent Analytics & Insights to join our dynamic Talent & Culture team. This role will focus on budget planning and analysis, payroll reporting, financial reporting, and talent analytics support for different stakeholders. The Manager, Talent Analytics & Insights will heavily focus on budget and financials responsibilities paired with supporting reporting and analytics responsibilities. The position reports into the Director, Talent Analytics & Insights and is 100% remote. In this role, you will leverage data analysis and statistical techniques to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and enhance our workforce initiatives. You will work closely with Talent & Culture and business leaders to identify trends, improve employee experiences, and optimize talent management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Talent & Culture budget which includes monthly reports and analysis of actuals, forecast, and tracking towards saving targets.
- Facilitate the annual budget development by partnering with all relevant parties for input, review, and approvals.
- Calculate the annual burden rate and complete burden rate analysis throughout the year.
- Conduct analytical analysis of data as it pertains to budget and financials with minimal guidance and provide an initial set of conclusion or recommendation based on the findings.
- Serve as a point of contact and subject matter expert on the Talent & Culture budget, invoicing inquiries, and related data needs.
- Create Purchase Orders and Goods Receipt in SAP in a timely fashion and when necessary and manage invoicing inquiries and issues.
- Manage an analyst on the team that will assist with completing financial, payroll, and other Talent & Culture dashboards and reporting.
- Lead the product development of internal Talent & Culture software utilized for workforce planning and analysis.
- Partner with other departments in the organization such as FP&A, Audit, Program Management Office, Supply Chain on any process, data and reporting needs.
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret talent data from various sources, including employee surveys, performance metrics, and turnover statistics.
- Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key talent metrics, including recruitment, retention, diversity, talent operations and employee engagement.
- Trend Identification: Identify patterns and trends in talent data to inform strategic initiatives and support business goals.
- Predictive Modeling: Utilize statistical techniques and predictive analytics to forecast workforce trends and inform talent strategies.
- Collaboration: Partner with Talent & Culture teams to design and implement data-driven programs that enhance employee performance and satisfaction.
- Presentation: Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and compelling presentations.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and best practices in talent analytics and HR technology to drive innovation within the team.
Required Competencies:

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience with managing a team.
- 2+ years of experience in finance or payroll
- 2+ years of experience in HR reporting and analysis
- 1+ years of experience in SAP SuccessFactors reporting
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SPSS) is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Experience with HRIS and other HR-related software is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
