Job Summary

The Purchasing business analyst will be responsible for developing and sustaining the data processing processes inherent to Purchasing and the Supply Chain. In this capacity he/she will guarantee the relevance and integrity of the data, thus enabling decision-making to be accelerated.

A true control tower of the department and promoter of the digital transformation of the company, he/she will ensure the organization, accessibility and homogeneity of data.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Data collection and updating

  • Collection and analysis of data from multiple sources such as internal database, historical data, external suppliers, market trends, etc.
  • Updating and monitoring data relating to Purchasing and Supply Chain in the ERP
  • Homogenization of Purchasing data between the Canadian and French sites

 

Analysis, presentations and monitoring of actions

  • Analysis of Purchasing and Supply Chain data
  • Analysis of data relating to electronic components: price changes, listing of authorized distributors, monitoring of life cycles
  • Integration of data into electronic market modeling tools, such as Silicon Expert
  • Development and maintenance of regular reports and a Purchasing and Supply Chain dashboard
  • Management of alerts relating to changes in the life cycle of components and products
  • Management of alerts relating to changes in the life cycle of contracts and partnerships

 

Monitoring of the department's roadmap and KPIs

  • Participation in Supply Reviews of the S&OP / IBP process; forecast analysis and data consolidation to suppliers
  • Consolidation of supplier KPIs reported by Buyers and monitoring of improvement actions
  • Preparation of data for team meetings

Animation of team meetings around data

  • Development of reports and data analysis tools for the Operations department, using existing business intelligence systems

 

Process improvements

  • Redesign and maintenance of a global BOM
  • Benchmark of the latest developments in the BI tools market to optimize data collection and analysis as well as report generation
  • Automation of data management

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or another appropriate discipline
  • Minimum of Five (5) years working experience
  • Experience in a global company supporting a purchasing or supply planning environment preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required
  • Understanding in ERP systems required
  • Bilingual French and English: To serve clients and external service providers across Canada and USA
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Autonomy, initiative and leadership qualities
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing and dynamic environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain composure in stressful situations
