Job Description

We are currently looking for a Software Engineering intern to join our Digital Product Development team in our Westborough, MA office (Note: Olympus does not provide relocation assistance or stipends). This program will run from May 19 - August 1, 2025. This is a full-time opportunity involving 35-40 hours per week at an hourly rate of $28.00.

As a software engineering intern, you will contribute to our mission by working with the teams responsible for delivering product innovations.
Job Duties
Some potential projects for the summer could include:
- Assist with implementation of a remote software update solution for our Internet of Medical Things project
- Assist with integration of medical devices onto the new platform.
- Developing new software, optimizing code used for production purposes, and debugging new components.
- Researching state-of-the-art solutions for existing problems.
- Contributing to the creation and implementation of innovative components to enhance client-side experiences.
- Participating in discussions with product owners to learn how our customers use our products..
A typical day for you will include:
- Collaborating with your supervisor and team to complete role-related assignments and projects.
- Actively engaging in and adding value to meetings and discussions.
- Engaging in other duties, as necessary.
Job Qualifications
Required:
- Must be enrolled in a full time undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited 4-year institution.
- Preferred fields of study include Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- Must complete sophomore year before the internship begins and graduate after the internship ends.
- Must not now or in the future require immigration-related sponsorship.**

- Demonstrated ability to balance academic and extracurricular commitments (i.e. work experience, clubs, volunteer activities, teams, etc.).
- Must possess excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Basic software engineering knowledge.
- Must be proficient and have practical knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to work well within a team and independently at times with limited guidance.
Preferred:
- Experience with machine learning, pattern recognition, image processing, and/or robotics.
- Experience with web technologies (JavaScript, Node.js, Angular, etc.).
- Experience with programming languages/software (C#, .NET, Git, OpenCV, Visual Studio, etc.)
- Understanding of software and mobile application development processes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and deadline-driven environment.

The anticipated starting base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is , plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
