About the team

The Firebolt Product team is the voice of the customer and owns the picture of success for the Firebolt product. We analyze market trends, discover customer needs, and identify target personas to determine product opportunities. We use that knowledge to create differentiated roadmaps, define product features and experiences that delight our customers, and drive viral product adoption. The Product team is data-driven, and data is the central point to support all these activities. This role will be driving AI experiences within the product as well as creating AI oriented bots and agents that are being leveraged to produce content for various functions such as product documentation and collateral that various Firebolt individuals use.

About the role

We are looking for a Head of AI Experiences to join our Product team. In this role, you set the strategy, leverage the latest AI trends and help build a modern AI stack while helping us drive business decisions, optimize product experiences, and improve productivity of every Firebolt user. You will leverage your analytical and AI expertise to create purpose-built AI agents and bots (powered by Generative AI) that directly impact Firebolt user productivity and optimize their experiences. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and others to promote use of AI across various disciplines and build AI bots and agents that deliver required response accuracy.

About the day to day

• Develop the Firebolt AI strategy and leverage the latest advancement in AI to drive improvements in productivity and product experiences for our users.
• Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Analysts to define key product scenarios to optimize for, measure performance and accuracy of AI, and continuously drive improvements in the area. 
• Work with large and heterogeneous datasets to deliver satisfactory accuracy and responses for our newly built AI agents and bots.
• Design and implement experiments (A/B testing) to gather user experiences and optimize those experiences based on such.
• Continuously promote AI and drive suggestions to optimize various processes across the company to fully leverage newly built AI assets.
• Stay ahead of industry trends in AI, data science, and analytics to continuously refine Firebolt’s approach to using the latest AI enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. Ph.D. is a plus.
• 4+ years of experience leading AI-driven innovation, automation, or applied machine learning initiatives.
• Hands-on experience applying Generative AI and LLMs to real-world use cases.
• Deep knowledge of distributed computing frameworks for large-scale data processing.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large-scale data warehouses.
• Experience deploying and using modern AI tools within cloud-based environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

A bonus if you have

• Experience in a startup environment.
• Experience in product analytics or working closely with product teams.

The pay range listed below reflects the base salary for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. As part of our compensation philosophy, the total compensation is tailored to each candidate and influenced by factors such as job-related skills, level of experience, relevant certifications, and geographical location, to name a few.

Local Pay Range - 250,000 - 300,000 per year USD
