Cloud Data Engineer

CLOUD DATA ENGINEER

• Demonstrated skills in Data modelling techniques in RDBMS  and NOSQL

• Demonstrated Proficiency with RDBMS  (SQL and Stored Procedures)  and NOSQL

• Strong software engineering skills using Python 3 (especially on data processing, memory management, reading and writing data with streams, file compression management (zip, tar, gzip, etc.) in stream, etc.)

• Strong Business Intelligence including

  • Business Intelligence/Data Visualization Dashboards and Reports

  • Business Intelligence/Data Visualization Development

• For Cloud Data Engineer: Good level knowledge on AWS Services: S3, Lambda, SQS, Glue, Athena, Redshift, EMR, AWS batch, AWS step functions, etc.

• 5+ years experience in a data-related field, including data engineering, data warehousing, business intelligence, data visualization, and/or data science using any of the following technologies and platforms: 

  • ETL skills/experience in any of these tools (Talend Open Studio, Microsoft SSIS, Informatica, IBM Datastage, Oracle Data Integrator, Pentaho Data Integrator)

  • Skills/experience in any of the following Business Intelligence/Data Visualization tools/platforms (PowerBI, Tableau, Qlick, Crystal Reports, Pentaho, Jasper, Informatica, Microsoft SSRS, etc)

  • Teraform scripting and devops skills (Build/Run)

  • Knowledgeable in Analytics and Machine Learning concepts is a plus

  • Experience with other programming languages is a strong plus

  • Familiarity and experience with big data technologies (eg: Hive, Spark (PySpark),  Presto) is a plus
