As an AI Engineer at Loop, you’ll play a critical role in transforming how our teams work by developing AI-driven tools that solve business challenges. Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, you’ll turn complex needs into simple, scalable solutions. Whether it’s automating customer feedback analysis, streamlining campaign workflows, or building tools that improve asset creation, your work will directly influence how teams operate. By blending technical expertise with a deep understanding of our business, you’ll empower every department to achieve more—and faster. Build AI-driven tools that transform how we work
Your day-to-day will revolve around solving real business challenges through AI. You’ll identify inefficiencies in our current processes, rethink them from scratch, and deploy tailored solutions—whether it’s automating campaign analysis, creating NLP-powered tools, or integrating open-source frameworks like Hugging Face or Streamlit into our systems. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, you’ll translate business needs into AI-driven tools that don’t just solve problems but inspire innovation across the company. You'll report to Luc, the manager of our AI team.
Your other responsibilities:
- Develop AI-driven software to solve business challenges, integrating technologies like NLP, machine learning, and automation.
- Build and deploy applications using open-source frameworks (Hugging Face, Streamlit, Gradio).
- Create custom integrations using APIs and webhooks to connect AI solutions with internal systems.
- Fine-tune LLMs for specific business applications.
- Manage projects end-to-end, from identifying opportunities to deployment, using first-principle thinking.
- Stay ahead of AI trends and recommend new technologies to enhance our capabilities.
How you’ll succeed as an AI Engineer
Success in this role means combining technical skills with creativity and a proactive mindset. You’ll need to approach challenges with a solution-oriented attitude, communicating clearly with stakeholders and adapting quickly to their needs.
Collaboration will be key to delivering results that enhance the entire business. Staying up-to-date on the latest AI trends will help you push boundaries, while your ability to simplify complex problems will inspire others to adopt your solutions.
These key competences will set you up for success:
- Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer science or related technical discipline.
- Advanced Programming: Deep expertise in Python, with experience using frameworks like Streamlit or Gradio.
- AI & NLP: Proficiency with TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, and Hugging Face Transformers, with experience fine-tuning models.
- Open Source & AI Engagement: Contributions to open-source AI projects, active involvement in platforms like Hugging Face and GitHub.
- Software Development: Solid understanding of CI/CD, DevOps principles, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and version control (Git).
- Data Science & Engineering: Strong skills in data manipulation (pandas, NumPy), SQL, and database/storage solutions.
Location: This is a hybrid role based in Antwerp or Amsterdam, with options for relocation or freelance work. We believe in flexibility but also value in-person collaboration to drive innovation.
