About the role

As a Certification and Assessment Content Intern, you’ll gain valuable experience in producing and managing examination content.

This internship is a paid developmental opportunity where you will learn by doing! The position is ideal if you’re interested in educational assessment, data science or online education, and would like to have an impact on the lives of thousands of learners. You’ll also find out what working in a fast-growing international startup is like.

Working with our talented Certification team and external team of item writers, you’ll cover all of our certification content from data analysis to AI Engineering, supporting our item writing team and acting as a reviewer. 

Please note that this position is primarily a content developer intern position, not an engineering internship.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day content creation across our suite of certifications and assessments, following established and documented processes 
• Participate in QA for certification and assessment content
• Refine content creation processes using appropriate tooling and methodologies
• Analyze certifications and learning content to understand opportunities for greater alignment
• Engage with feedback from a range of sources to identify possible content improvements

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will fit into one of two profiles:

Profile 1: technical / data background

Profile 2: education background

You have a background in data analysis or software development.

Essential:

• Good technical understanding of data analysis, data science, data engineering or software development
• Reasonable understanding of Python
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong command of English, both written and verbal

Desirable: a strong candidate will have at least 2 of the following:

• Experience using GitHub
• Experience in reviewing code
• Strong interest in educational assessment or online education
• Some experience as a tutor or teaching assistant (or similar)
• Experience following step-by-step processes

You have a background in education with a strong interest in educational technology or educational assessment.

Essential:

• Strong data literacy
• Good understanding of pedagogy or educational assessment principles
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong command of English, both written and verbal

Desirable: a strong candidate will have at least 2 of the following:

• Experience in teaching or in producing educational content
• Some understanding of SQL, Python or R
• Experience using GitHub for simple issues and pull requests
• Experience following step-by-step processes
