  • DHS CBP Public Trust preferred
  • This position currently allows for remote work but may transition to an onsite requirement at our designated office location, Monday through Friday, five days per week. This policy is subject to change based on business needs and operational requirements.


THE GIST…

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics & Visualization Specialist to drive data-driven decision-making by gathering requirements, developing models, analyzing data, and creating interactive dashboards and visualizations. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, translate requirements into analytical solutions, and present insights through compelling data storytelling.



WHAT YOUR DAY MIGHT INCLUDE…

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand objectives, pain points, and data needs.
  • Define and document functional and technical requirements for data models, analytics, and dashboards.
  • Work cross-functionally with teams to ensure alignment between business needs and analytical outputs.
  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to derive actionable insights.
  • Develop statistical, predictive, and machine learning models to support business initiatives.
  • Conduct data validation, quality assurance, and anomaly detection to ensure data integrity.
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Create intuitive and impactful data visualizations that effectively communicate complex insights.
  • Optimize dashboard performance and ensure usability for end-users.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders using clear and engaging storytelling techniques.
  • Develop automated reporting solutions to streamline data access and decision-making.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on dashboard utilization and data interpretation.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging analytics technologies, and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance data processes, reporting frameworks, and analytical methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy policies.



Requirements

 YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS…

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other data analytics programming languages.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and database structures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
