Oracle Health AI is hiring Applied Research Interns! 

 

The Clinical AI team in Oracle Health is leveraging artificial intelligence to revolutionize healthcare, reduce clinical burden for medical professionals, and improve patient outcomes. The team is responsible for delivering innovative products and services at the intersection of AI and healthcare, including Oracle Health Clinical AI Agent which is used by thousands of doctors. 

As an applied research intern, you will play a key role in shaping the future of AI at Oracle Health, with an emphasis on Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI. Your contributions will be pivotal in delivering our new Generative AI-powered solutions for healthcare and enterprise customers. What You’ll Do: 

As a research intern in Oracle Health Clinical AI team, you will perform applied research on leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and Multi-modality Models for advancing healthcare applications such as Clinical Note Generation, Clinical Summaries, Conversational Search, and Medical Coding, and publish the results in top-tier journals or conferences. You will lead the development of state-of-the-art systems in this impactful and fast evolving area in partnership with our applied scientists and software engineers. You will play a key role in shaping the future of Clinical AI Agent at Oracle and delivering the innovations to thousands of Oracle Health customers. 

 

What You’ll Bring: (Objective Minimum Qualifications) 

 

To be considered for the research intern position in Oracle Health Clinical AI team, you must possess the Objective Minimum Qualifications (OMQs) below. Please ensure that your application clearly indicates that you meet these OMQs, either on your resume/CV and/or by uploading additional documents such as a transcript. 

  

Currently enrolled in a PhD degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or a related technical field. 

Experience in one area of computer science (e.g., Natural Language Understanding, Speech, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Algorithmic Foundations of Optimization, Data Science, or similar areas). 

Expected Graduation Date of May 2026 or beyond.  

Reside in the United States and/or attend a university in the US.  

Able to obtain work authorization in the US in 2025. 

Commitment to staying up-to-date with the field and applying academic advances to solve complex business problems, and bringing them into production. 

Strong publication record, including as a lead author or reviewer, in top-tier journals or conferences. 

 

Other Preferred Qualifications:  

Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

US: Hiring Range in USD from $18.99 to $38.32 per hour; from: $39,500 to $79,700 per annum.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
