About the RoleRedhorse is seeking a skilled Qlik Application Developer to support the refinement of a centralized data environment (CDE) impacting the Department of Defense (DoD). This critical role contributes to the creation of auditable financial transaction data and the development of a common operating picture for leadership. You will play a key role in ensuring the right data reaches the right decision-makers, driving informed choices within the DoD.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, and/or modify enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.
• Participate in the planning of system and development deployment and ensure software compliance standards are met.
• Evaluate the interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and the characteristics of the overall system.
• Document testing and maintenance of system corrections.
• Develop dashboards using data analytics & visualization, emphasizing data-driven business intelligence.
• Design User Interfaces (UI).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable development goals.
• Connect to data sources and perform basic data transformation (creating calculated fields and simple expressions).
• Additional duties as assigned or required.

Required Experience/Clearance

• 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field; 0 years of experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field; or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years of relevant experience.
• Relational Database development (SQL) experience.
• Experience with Python libraries for data manipulation.
• Proficiency in creating scripts, calculated fields, and expressions to create dynamic dashboards.
• Robust data model creation and management experience.
• Experience creating and managing scheduled jobs and automation.
• Data Visualization and business intelligence experience (Tableau, Qlik, or PowerBI).
• Understanding of ETL with various disparate data sources and systems.
• Active Secret security clearance.

Desired Experience

• 5+ years of Relational Database development (SQL) experience.
• 5+ years of Data Visualization and business intelligence experience (Tableau, Qlik, or PowerBI).
• Understanding of Advana DataBricks' Gold/Silver/Bronze data zones.
• Experience with AWS workspace.
• Domain knowledge of data sources and reports, and their stakeholders.
• Experience working with a team of developers in an Agile environment (JIRA or similar).
• Ability to understand the transactional nature of the data being reviewed.
• Experience with FMS.
• Qlik Sense or DataBricks Certifications.
• CSSLP Certification.
• Security+ Certification.
