In this exciting opportunity as a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting multiple development teams across a diverse range of tech stacks, including ML pipelines, mobile data capture, and web development. Your team will be responsible for ensuring seamless infrastructure support for all these groups. Zeitview is currently transitioning its infrastructure from Heroku and GCP to AWS, and you will be instrumental in driving this migration while minimizing disruptions to the company’s fast-paced development roadmap. As a relatively new function within the organization, the DevOps team has significant opportunities to enhance consistency and efficiency in our build processes. From day one, your focus will be on:

  • Security and Compliance

    • Ensure Zeitview follows best practices across the company. SOC Compliance and ISO audits are on the horizon 

  • Site Reliability

    • Observability tools enabling us stay on top of issues and meet our uptime KPIs and SLA policies

  • Company wide Support

    • Respond to developers' needs, building tools that make their lives easier. We need to enable faster delivery, not block it. 

  • Cost effectiveness

    • Design architecture that uses appropriate compute resources. Zeitview is rapidly growing, our tech costs grow with it.

Responsibilities:

  • Make certain Zeitview’s software meets security and compliance certification standards

  • Ensure Zeitivew’s infrastructure can reliably scale through automation

  • Build out observability tools to monitor strain and enable effective utilization

  • Work closely with multiple development teams solving a variety of technical challenges

  • Diagnose and prioritize support requests from multiple channels of communication

  • Analyze current systems and processes to assess ways to improve them

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience writing IaC (3+ years)

  • DevOps and/or Software Developer experience (7+ years)

  • Well versed in the AWS Suite of tools ECS/EC2/Lambda/S3/Batch/EKS/IAM

  • Working experience with databases (PostgreSQL or similar)

  • Working experience with NoSQL databases (Redis or similar)

  • Experience of efficiently collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

  • Well-versed with scrum or other agile product development methodologies.

  • Self-starter, multi-tasker, effective communicator, and motivator that brings out the best in people.

  • Proven track record of delivering robust, on-time, quality solutions within project constraints.

  • Driven to succeed: You go above and beyond. You make educated, logical decisions but also know there’s a time for trusting your intuition, vision, and heart.

  • High level of interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence with the ability to work independently and as a team player while presenting a professional demeanor.
