Job Description

In this role, you are expected to provide:

AI Solution Leadership

  • Primarily responsible for driving the AI narrative for VCA Data Science, Market Support Center
  • Own the AI solutions roadmap and define medium/long term vision, including enhancing the existing inventory of AI solutions that we offer to our clients
  • Architecting and developing the Next-Generation Portfolio Optimization Program platform by leveraging Gen AI to create actionable insights and recommendations for our clients
  • Oversee deployment and implementation of MLOps by partnering with the data engineering and Global AI team
  • Develop strategies and recommendations on testing and monitoring of AI/ML models

Working as One Visa

  • Act as the AI SME representing VCA AP to collaborate with technology, global data science organization to create the right AI Platform and Programs
  • Work with AP markets teams to scale existing and new AI use cases and productionize them for entire AP
  • Act as an AI SME by conduct training sessions to uplift AI skills in AP by collaborating with market VCA / DS team members  
  • Guide the AP Data Science team with best practices in development, deployment and maintenance of AI/ML models
  • Work with Global Data Office to ensure adherence to AI Government Policies and Visa’s Model Risk Management framework for models that is developed by the VCA AP data science team
  • Partner closely with Global Data Engineering team to build feature stores for AI/ML modeling activities

This role will be an individual contributor and reports to the Head of Market Support Center Analytics and based in Visa Singapore office.

Qualifications

We are looking to hire candidates that have already accumulated a variety of experience, you will be curious about the payments industry, results-driven and client-centric. As a candidate you should have both technical and business acumen

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, AI ML Engineering, Business Analytics or equivalent
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the data engineering and analytics field, including 5 years in Data Science / AI / Machine Learning engineering with a focus on AI technologies
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL
  • Fundamental coding skills are crucial for developing AI solutions
  • Expertise in Generative AI frameworks and libraries, e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI, Langraph, llamacpp & OpenAI. Specific expertise relevant to the job role
  • Expertise in Data science and machine learning frameworks and libraries, such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch. Core skills for AI/ML development.
  • Strong understanding of data pre-processing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques. Critical for developing effective AI models
  • Good knowledge on Prompt engineering techniques and cost optimization strategies for Closed Source LLMs.
  • Experience in fine-tuning open-source Large Language Models (LLMs) such as Llama 2, Gemma, Mixtral, Phi-2, Orca2, function calling LLMs etc.
  • Proficiency in developing LLM-based RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation)
  • Familiarity with cloud-based AI services and platforms
  • Experience working with closed-source Large Language Models, e.g., OpenAI, Gemini & mistral.
  • Ability to develop LLMbased agentic workflows to support suitable business use cases. Essential for applying AI to real-world problem
  • Experience in LLM model & prompt evaluation.
  • Familiar with agile project management and able to adopt that for data solutions development
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate solutions to solve business problems
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented individual with the ability to progress multiple priorities concurrently
  • - Solutions-focused mindset

What will also help

  • Experience in analytics for retail banking, card issuing or consulting to retail banks
  • Understanding of Payments and Banking Industry including Consumer Credit, Consumer debit, Small Business, Commercial, Co-Brand and Merchant
  • Story boarding and data story telling including strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Willingness to travel
