Job Description:

 

We are seeking an experienced Databricks Architect to strengthen the impact of, and provide recommendations on, business information that will need to be available and shared consistently across the organization through the identification, definition, and analysis of how information assets aid strategies and business outcomes.

This role is responsible for the company’s Data Lakehouse platform and will be collaborating with department heads to determine their data storage and organizational needs, utilizing the information to create and maintain data infrastructure. This person will help define the firm’s business information assets (as well as the assets' sources, structure, classification, and associations) as part of its information strategy to respond to disruptive forces and move toward desired business outcomes.

You will enjoy this role if you:

· Have developed and implemented an organizational data strategy that is in line with business processes as part of a digital transformation journey.

· Designed and implemented data architecture using the medallion architecture data management framework. Managing end-to-end data architecture, designing the technical architecture, and assist in developing the solutions to final testing and implementing.

· Identifying data sources, both internal and external, and working out a plan for data ingestion and management that is aligned with the organizational data strategy.

· Successfully communicating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors for the consistency of the enterprise data platform.

· Facilitate sessions with internal teams to gather requirements, understand business needs, and establish best practices for data workflow solutions.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data governance frameworks and align with standardize reporting processes.

· Create documentation and offer continuous support to enable users and improve organizational data literacy.

· Guaranteeing high-quality deliverables by establishing development standards, ensuring compliance, and engaging in thorough code reviews.

· Conducting a continuous audit of data management system performance, refine whenever required, and report immediately any breach or loopholes to the stakeholders.

· Provide excellent leadership and management to other technical team members and ensuring standardized and consistent data development practices, while coaching them to realize their full potential.

Successful Candidates will have:

· Minimum of 3+ years' experience required / 5+ years' preferred managing Data Lakehouse environments, Azure Databricks specific experience a plus.

· Extensive experience with the medallion architecture data management framework as well as unity catalog.

· Understanding of cluster configuration, compute and storage layers.

· System integration experience, data extraction, transformation, and quality controls design techniques.

· Familiarity with data science concepts, as well as MDM, business intelligence, and data warehouse design and implementation techniques.

· Data modeling and information classification expertise at the enterprise level.

· Understanding of metamodels, taxonomies and ontologies, as well as of the challenges of applying structured techniques (data modeling) to less-structured sources.

· Ability to assess rapidly changing technologies and apply them to business needs.

· Be able to translate the information architecture contribution to business outcomes into simple briefings for use by various data-and-analytics-related roles.

· Proven experience as an IT leader in data architecture and experience managing junior team members providing guidance and support to ensure development.

·

· Bachelor’s degree in management/computer information systems, computer science, accounting information systems, computer or in a relevant field.

· Experience with professional service industry or CPA and advisory firms is a plus

· Ability to shift priorities as needed and in a fast, ever-changing environment and assessing rapidly changing technologies

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

The compensation range for this role is $98,140 to $212,630. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
