The Opportunity

As AI Lead, you will be at the heart of Textile's agent intelligence network's drive to empower AI agent builders and ecosystems with more intelligence and data. You will experiment rapidly with AI agents and frameworks, build agent tooling and demos, participate in agent and AI ecosystems, and integrate the best AI technology into our internal team and systems to make us more AI native. You will report to the Head of Research who runs our Innovation Engineering pod, with potential to grow quickly as our ambition in this area scales.

What You'll Achieve:

Success in this role means delivering transformative AI capabilities that empower agent builders and improve internal workflows. Within your first year, you will:

• Launch highly used AI agent tooling – Develop foundational agent-building tools based on Textile's agent intelligence network that thousands of builders in the largest AI*Crypto frameworks (Eliza, RIG, Virtuals, etc.) build more intelligent and performant agents.
• Build demo agents – That showcase the power and ease of Textile's agent intelligence network for agents, and contribute to the ecosystem.
• Create key partners - Establish partnerships with leading AI builders and researchers and innovate alongside them to push the bounds of what’s possible.
• Make our team more AI native – Identify and integrate AI-driven efficiencies into our organization, improving how teams experiment, build, and operate. For example you would create and own a chatgpt API that we use consistently and has our team’s memory, an agent that we use to manage support, etc .
• Experiment Rapidly – Lead fast-cycle experiments to test AI-powered enhancements, driving a culture of iteration and learning.

Skills You'll Need:

This role bridges our fast-developing intelligence network with fast-changing AI technology, calling for an inventive, hands-on builder who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves solving complex problems, and can distill rapid change into simple comms.

You’re likely a great fit if you have:

• AI Mastery: Strong experience working with LLMs, agent architectures, or other AI tooling. Proficiency with AI frameworks and tools (e.g., LangChain, OpenAI APIs, Hugging Face) required, and familiarity with crypto frameworks (RIG, Eliza, Virtuals) highly preferred.
• Crypto-native: You have an intuitive understanding of crypto systems, have experience building in Web3, and are an active member of the web3 ecosystem on discord, twitter, and other platforms. You know how to plug into rapidly emerging communities.
• Experimentation Excellence: Proven ability to design, test, and iterate AI-powered features with a rapid experimentation approach. You move fast, but with quality that makes your work effective experiments with clear results.
• Strategic, Systems Thinking: Ability to architect AI solutions that make sense, taking into account the ecosystem of tools, rapidly changing landscape, and business goals.
• Influencing skills: You not only have strong collaboration skills for a remote team, but a feel for how to help others adapt to new workflows, tools and technologies. You meet people where they are, communicate clearly and poignantly, and build great bridges for others to adapt your technologies and ideas easily.

Location

Textile is a fully remote company spanning GMT -8 to GMT +1 (North America, South America, Central Europe). While being small, we've found that it is helpful to have a high level of overlap as a team.
