We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to be part of our Data Engineering team, focused on Data Platform Engineering. This critical role will be instrumental in addressing significant scalability challenges within our data infrastructure. 

Besides conquering the world, your activities will be:

• Scaling near real-time data processing;
• Maintaining and enhancing our data platform;
• Proactively addressing future platform needs;
• Develop and maintain data pipelines ensuring data quality and consistency;
• Continuously evaluate and improve the performance and reliability of our pipelines;
• Work closely with the Data Analytics, Data Science, Software Engineering and Cloud teams to identify and integrate new data sources into the pipeline;
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and design data solutions to meet those needs;
• Implement and maintain data quality checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of raw data;
• Develop and maintain data documentation of the data platform architecture, processes, and procedures, ensuring all stakeholders have the information they need to understand and utilize the platform effectively;
• Be an influencer of a data driven culture;
• Adapt fast when priorities or situations change;
• Work with autonomy, but always having the team support;
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and analytics;
  
  

Main requirements for this position:

• Experience with near real time data pipelines tools and processes such as Kafka, Apache Flink, or others;
• Background in big data solutions within cloud infrastructures such as AWS, Azure Cloud, Google Cloud;
• Experience with data warehousing tools such as BigQuery;
• Knowledge of Terraform, DevOps CI/CD;
• Strong analytical skills and experience with distributed processing system (Apache Spark);
• Proficiency in SQL and one or more programming languages (Python, Java, etc.);
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
