Visualization Design Lead

Job Summary

The Visualization Lead will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge dashboards and web applications that provide insightful analytics for senior leadership. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including dashboard developers, web application developers, and data engineers, to integrate various data sources and deliver world-class UI/UX solutions. The Visualization Lead will leverage advanced analytics and machine learning insights to create interactive, user-friendly visualizations that drive strategic decision-making within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive visualization strategies to create dashboards and web applications that effectively communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and business insights.
• Collaborate with data engineering and BI teams to ensure seamless data integration from various sources, including databases, APIs, and ETL processes.
• Design and maintain visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces that adhere to best practices in UX/UI design.
• Utilize advanced analytics techniques, including predictive and prescriptive analytics, to enhance data-driven decision-making.
• Engage with senior leadership and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable visualization solutions.
• Lead and mentor a team of developers and designers, fostering an environment of innovation and professional growth.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of visualization outputs.
• Present visualization strategies, performance metrics, and insights to senior management for review and approval.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining high-quality standards in design and functionality.
• Integrate AI and machine learning capabilities into visualizations, including chatbot functionalities for enhanced user interaction.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications in Business Intelligence or Data Visualization is a plus.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in data visualization, dashboard design, or related fields, with a strong emphasis on UI/UX best practices.
• Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView, with a deep understanding of their capabilities and limitations.
• Strong web development skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular for building interactive web applications.
• Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Alteryx, informatica) and solid knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn) for implementing predictive analytics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Proven leadership experience, including mentoring team members and managing projects from conception to delivery.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to develop innovative visualization solutions.
