The Role:

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our dynamic Seattle team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of innovative technology development including: maintaining, automating and developing our vendor file transfer system; automating and scripting the execution of scheduled data builds; writing code to integrate new data sets into the product; doing diagnostic work using our proprietary data processing software; and running and developing web-scrapers to augment our data.  

Together we will leverage your expertise in Linux, python, AWS, and scripting to develop and maintain our vendor file delivery pipeline; build and execute scripts to run multiple dependent parallel jobs on separate AWS EC2 clusters; assist in acquiring public data; and build scalable pipelines for a variety of applications.

What You Will Do:

• Be a key member of the staff in contributing to the design and development of our data transfer, automated data acquisition, data processing and data build pipelines. 
• Be responsible for managing the automated process by which vendor data is transferred to our system and handling alerts when data is not been delivered on time.
• Be responsible for running daily, weekly and monthly data build pipelines. 

What You Bring:

• A bachelor's degree in computer engineering or related degree.  
• Experience with Linux, python and scripting languages. 
• Experience with docker and AWS preferred.
