Lonestar Electric Supply is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to support our Credit Management operations. Reporting directly to the VP of Credit, this role will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting credit-related data to optimize risk assessment, improve collections strategies, and enhance overall financial performance. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, proficiency in data analytics, and the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights for credit management.


Responsibilities:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret credit and accounts receivable data to identify trends and mitigate risk.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor customer credit performance and payment behaviors.
  • Assess customer creditworthiness by analyzing historical payment data, financial statements, and credit reports.
  • Support credit decision-making by providing data-driven recommendations on credit limits and payment terms.
  • Work closely with finance, credit, and collections teams to optimize credit management processes.
  • Identify high-risk accounts and develop strategies to reduce delinquencies and bad debt.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by maintaining and validating financial datasets.
  • Present findings and insights to senior leadership to drive informed decision-making.
  • Automate reporting and data analysis tasks to improve efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in credit management, finance, or accounts receivable.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and SQL; experience with Python or R is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of credit scoring models, financial risk analysis, and collections strategies is a plus.
