The Role

We seek a motivated Software Developer to join our cross-functional supply chain team. This role focuses on building and optimizing software solutions for demand, supply, production, and material planning, including inventory management and supporting local teams with execution. You will work closely with local planners, managers, and data analysts to develop tools that harness the power of AI, predictive analytics, and machine learning to transform our inventory and production processes. This position is available for junior to mid-level developers, providing opportunities for growth and real-world business impact. Reporting to S&OP Process and Network Integration Specialist; this person will be responsible for:

Strategic Responsibilities
• Maintain, Improve and Develop software tools:
o Improve, maintain, and enhance existing Python scripts and create new scripts to support evolving business requirements.
o Collaborate with business stakeholders to design, develop, improve, and implement software tools that optimize demand forecasting, inventory management, and production planning.
o Maintain and develop SQL databases and Azure-based solutions to integrate and support cross-functional data needs.
o Partner with data analysts to identify opportunities for predictive modeling that can enhance supply chain decision making.
o Conduct regular reviews and testing of software tools to ensure they meet business needs and are scalable.
o Contribute to integrating new data sources to improve the accuracy and robustness of supply chain analytics.
o Scrutinize data related to cost, productivity, demand, and transportation to meet objectives.
o Create user guides and technical documentation to facilitate the onboarding and training of team members using the software tools.
o Create and update the documentation regularly to reflect changes and improvements made to software tools, ensuring it remains accurate and useful.

• Statistical Forecasting and Optimization:
o Contribute to continuously improving forecast accuracy to drive business value, including external variables.
o Develop and refine forecasting models to improve accuracy and reliability.
o Develop automated tools and scripts to streamline forecasting processes, including machine learning tools and recommendations.

• Supply, Material and Inventory Optimization:
o Develop automated tools and scripts to streamline inventory tracking.
o Analyze historical data to identify trends and potential areas for efficiency inventory gains through statistical and machine learning recommendations.
o Develop customized visualizations based on stakeholder needs.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL (certifications are needed).
• Proven experience with machine learning and predictive analytics.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure (certifications are a plus).
• 1-3 years of professional experience in Python software development, ideally within a supply chain, manufacturing, or data driven environment.

Hard skills
• Proficiency and hands-on experience in Python for developing supply chain-related applications.
• Experience with SQL for managing, querying, and optimizing databases.
• Experience Microsoft Azure for cloud-based software solutions as a plus.
• Experience in machine learning and predictive analytics, focusing on applications to demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and supply chain planning, is a plus.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into actionable technical solutions, ensuring a data-driven approach to solving supply chain challenges.
