Front End Developer

We are looking for a passionate Front-end Developer to join our second-stage rocket ship 🚀 

You’ll be part of the Search Ads squad and will be in charge of maintaining, improving, and adding new features to our amazing Apple Search ads manager. 

Working hand-in-hand with back-end web developers to build all client-side logic, you will also be bridging the gap between the visual elements and the server-side infrastructure.

You’ll report to your Engineering manager and work with a team of Developers in your squad. Check out our ✨Tech Stack page✨ for more information!

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop new user-facing features

• Build reusable code and libraries for future use

• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

• Find elegant solutions to usability problems

• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability

• Stay up-to-date on new Web technologies that will make AppTweak better, faster, and stronger.

• Participate in code review, pairing, and other forms of knowledge sharing

Requirements

Must-have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant field.

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Frontend developer in one of the modern frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).

• Ability to independently implement a project from A to Z.

• Fluency in English.

• An understanding of asynchronous request handling and API’s. 

• Eagerness to learn about modern Web technologies.

• Strong entrepreneurial mindset: you're hands-on and autonomous. You find creative solutions to problems in a fast-moving environment.

• Team player: you enjoy working with others. You have a proactive attitude and you like to make things move forward.

• You have a critical mindset: you are comfortable with questioning the projects, technical implementation, and decisions made by your peers. 

• Sensitivity to design in general and user experience.

Nice-to-have

• GitHub profile or link to open source work.

• Full-stack experience.

• You will be working in the Search Ads squad, one of our most recent products, meaning that we still need to find our product market fit. To do that, we need a team of people with an entrepreneurial mindset that welcomes change and challenges. 

• We work in a fast-paced environment so you should be able to quickly adapt to changing conditions and priorities. 

Technologies we use:

• We're mainly relying on three different languages:

  • Ruby in the backend (for APIs and crawlers).

  • Typescript in the frontend (for our React SPA).

  • Python (mainly used by our Data Science team).

• Everything is hosted on AWS and running on K8s, and we have created a robust CI system to develop and deploy our code quickly. We deploy directly from Slack!

Squads are cross-skill teams that are focused on specific parts of the tool to develop and maintain them more efficiently and quickly. Each of them is responsible for its roadmap, and everyone in the squad can participate in product discussions.
