Overview
Waters Corporation is always looking to hire outstanding future talent for our company. The Global Service team is looking to hire a Generative AI and Machine Learning intern on a hybrid work schedule out of our Milford, MA office. This internship is a phenomenal opportunity to gain real-world experience while working at the world's leading specialty measurement company. This internship will last approximately ten weeks and the program will commence in the spring/summer of 2025.

Responsibilities
- Leveraging AI/ML to analyze past purchase service of customers, building recommendations that improve customer experience and service delivery consistency
- Working with ML models that can be tested and deployed to production
- Performing multiple forms of advanced analyses, sustainment, optimization, text analytics, machine learning, parametric and non-parametric statistical models, and techniques.
- Build professional relationships and become a trusted technology advisor to leadership, stakeholders, team members and peers
- Build, test, validate and demonstrate analytical models through various relevant error metrics and calibration techniques.
- Follow technology trends in data science to build AI/ML models, feature engineering and predictive analysis to support future development roadmap and raise enhancement suggestions to the team (privacy laws, cookie-less tracking, new software etc.)
- Conduct background research and exploratory analysis to proactively identify business needs and recommend opportunities for improvement
- Propose innovative solutions that solve complex business problems or improve productivity/efficiency using technology
- Curate and create documentation and reference material
- Support other strategic projects and initiatives as assigned by manager

Qualifications specific to this role:
- 0-1+ years in Information Technology, Data Science, Analytics, Machine Learning or related field through academic and/or professional experience
- Actively pursuing a degree at an accredited university or college
- Interest in technology with an understanding of the market and trends
- Capacity to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, people and processes as well as changing priorities
- Attention to detail and organized
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
