Flowserve is looking for an HR Data Analyst who will be part of a team tasked with balancing people, process, and technology to help enable HR and the business make data-based decisions and deliver results. The HR Data and Analytics team champions data literacy and partners in driving governance. You will maintain people data and coach HR Partners on Workday reporting functionality. The perfect candidate will have a continuous improvement mindset with existing tools and data outputs to continue to optimize, enhance the user experience and drive self-service.

Your role:

  • Champion data literacy, providing guidance and coaching to build our "data muscle" within the HR function to promote seeking and implementing data-informed solutions.
  • Actively pursue the development and ongoing improvement of self-service reporting and analytics tools and capabilities.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive data governance, maintaining data integrity across systems, and coach on reporting functionality within Workday.
  • Analytical ability around data retrieval, manipulation, and performance analysis from data management systems; further turn this data into useful information.
  • Maintain people data within HR technology ecosystem, ensuring data cleanliness and organization (utilization and UX).
  • Maintain data transformations within Prism for all data coming into Workday.
  • Develop and maintain active reports and dashboards within Workday, maintaining seamless UX.
  • Develop and maintain Workday Data and Reporting documentation for internal/external use (including end user consumption).
  • Communicate effectively by translating complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Evaluate and optimize existing tools, leveraging enterprise-wide solutions whenever possible in service of key talent strategies.
  • Develop reporting to help measure effectiveness of HR initiatives using data from the core HR systems: Human Capital Management, Talent/Performance management, Learning Management, Recruiting/Applicant Tracking, and Employee Engagement.
  • Champion data quality processes and consistent use and adoption of measures, hierarchies, tools, and reporting standards.

  • Technical writing skills and strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to multitask, set and meet deadlines for variety of responsibilities.
  • Data visualization and reporting skills and experience with statistical software.
  • Superior learning agility; able to learn independently from a variety of sources.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations, self-initiate and pro-actively seek direction or clarify.
  • Collaboration skills to develop buy-in and consensus that drives progress and results.
  • Ability to communicate technical information and data to a non-technical audience in a logical, concise manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management through diplomacy and tact.
  • Coding skills in languages such as SQL and Python.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in Workday Reporting including experience with Prism, Discovery Boards, Worksheets and Slides
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience of Workday HCM and other Workday HR capabilities like Learning, Recruiting, Compensation, Payroll, etc.
  • Experience aggregating and analyzing data spanning multiple sources and reporting tools.
  • Experience in People/Data Analytics and Statistics.
  • Working knowledge of business intelligence reporting tools (e.g., BI Tools like Power BI, QlikView, Tableau) and Data Management tools/platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure, SQL, etc.)
  • Experience participating in cross-functional, multi-geographic teams.
  • Proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivots, macros) and experience performing ad-hoc analysis

Preferred Experience:

  • 2-5+ years of experience in quantitative or process improvement roles, using data analytics, mining, and/or visualization to solve problems.
  • Ability to leverage HR data to support business partnering conversations.
  • Predictive modeling experience with employee retention, employee performance, and other relevant workforce function
  • Experience in working with manufacturing, engineering, or sales teams.
  • Ability to influence others on proposed courses of action, be firm but be diplomatic at the same time.
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Six-Sigma, DMAIC/Agile, or root-cause analysis a plus.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
