Purpose

As PerkinElmer continues to develop its approach to ESG, the collection, processing, analysis, and reporting of high-quality, reliable ESG information is crucial to ensuring we have the best insights to track and plan ESG improvement plans and fulfil customer and compliance obligations.

The ESG Data Analyst—a new position in the organization— will play a key role in ensuring a robust and efficient approach to the measurement, management and communication of our ESG progress. The role offers significant scope for development and collaboration across the business, helping to build and embed our data-driven approach to decision-making. The role will report to the Senior ESG Manager.

This is a great opportunity for a data-minded individual to combine their expertise with the fast-growing field of corporate sustainability, helping to develop a sustainable commercial and operational path for the business.

Responsibilities

The ESG Data Analyst will:

  • Own and further develop the systems and processes for the management and measurement of ESG information, building on existing systems and creating new where necessary.

  • Be the owner for all incoming ESG information requests, including customer questionnaires/reviews, third-party submissions (e.g. CDP, EcoVadis), and regulatory compliance frameworks.

  • Take a lead role in our ESG disclosures, including CSRD preparation (gap analysis, internal stakeholder engagement, development of disclosures).

  • Support the development of robust systems, policies and processes for ESG information, including audit preparedness.

  • Lead our annual carbon emissions calculation work, seeking opportunities to improve accuracy and develop the relevant insights to help further develop our decarbonization approaches.

  • Support key business functions to decarbonize, including involvement in lifecycle assessments and product certification.

  • Collaborate with key functions across the business to support the development and management of ESG information, including HR, procurement, finance and product teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

  • 2-5 years professional experience with data systems and management necessary, for example through finance, audit or project management background.

  • Project management experience.

  • Interest in sustainability necessary, existing professional experience with ESG data preferred.

  • Advanced excel/data management and analysis skills.
