Enbridge’s Liquid Pipeline’s Data Governance team is hiring a Senior Advisor Business Analyst who will support their efforts by focusing on data issue investigation and understanding, as well as metadata management. This role bridges the gap between business and technical teams to identify, document, and investigate the resolution of data-related challenges while ensuring metadata is optimally managed and used across the organization.

What Will You Do:

  • Act as the lead among stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements related to data governance and metadata management initiatives.

  • Lead the activities of multiple data requirements efforts, validate data requirements, assess data risks, and recommend data risk mitigation to business function leads across multiple business processes, organizations, and application systems.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for identified issues, resolutions, and standard processes to prevent recurrence. Focus on the end user throughout the development cycle.

  • Translate business needs into technical specifications and collaborate with execution teams to ensure successful implementation. Create various scope options dependent on priorities and cost/benefit expectations.

Who you are:

  • Hold a university degree in Business Administration, Data Management, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Minimum 7+ years of progressively responsible and related experience, e.g., Business Analysis, Strategic Planning, Road Mapping, Metadata management, or Project Delivery.

  • Solid understanding of data management principles, metadata standards, and governance frameworks.

  • Proficiency in metadata management tools (e.g., Collibra) and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel).

  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

  • Superb communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) and metadata management tools (Collibra, Informatica, MS Purview) is preferred.

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is an asset.

Working Conditions:

  • Office based role.

  • Up to 10% travel to field or business offices, or conferences within Canada and the U.S.. Valid passport is required.

Physical Requirements: Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
