About us: Prague is one of the most beautiful European cities as well as the cultural and economic heart of Central Europe. Almost 135 QuidelOrtho employees are supporting the following functions within EMEA Shared Services: Customer Service and Finance team, People & Culture and GIS team. What you'll be doing in your new role:

  • Define, implement, and maintain data governance policies, standards, and best practices across the organization.

  • Drive adoption and effective use of the Informatica Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC) tool, ensuring all data assets are cataloged and appropriately governed.

  • Conduct regular data quality assessments using CDGC and other tools to identify, track, and resolve data quality issues.

  • Develop and manage data quality frameworks, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all data domains.

  • Collaborate with Data Quality Analysts and Data Stewards to define data quality rules and KPIs, monitor results, and drive continuous improvements.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant data protection and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), incorporating security and access controls within data governance processes.

  • Support the business with the design of data governance strategies and their implementation.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for data governance matters, engaging with business units, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on data governance objectives.

  • Facilitate workshops and lead data governance forums to communicate progress, address issues, and establish data ownership and stewardship within the business.

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure that data governance initiatives are aligned with organizational goals and provide measurable value.

  • Provide guidance and training on best practices for data governance and data quality management, empowering team members to support governance initiatives.

  • Use Informatica CDGC to map data flows, track lineage, and ensure that data assets are easily accessible and understood by business users.

  • Monitor industry trends and best practices in data governance, data quality, and metadata management, and implement enhancements to current processes.

  • Identify opportunities to leverage automation within the CDGC tool to streamline data governance workflows, improve data quality, and reduce manual effort.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement in data management practices across the organization.

The individual:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related role, including hands-on experience with data cataloging and data quality management.

  • Technical proficiency with Informatica Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC) or similar data governance tools, including data lineage, data cataloging, and metadata management.

  • Knowledge of data quality management principles, methodologies, and tools, including data profiling and data cleansing techniques.

  • Familiarity with data privacy and protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their impact on data governance practices.

  • Experience with MDM and Informatica C360 an advantage.

  • Certification in data governance (e.g., DAMA Certified Data Management Professional - CDMP) is an advantage.

  • Experience with other data management tools, such as Informatica Data Quality (IDQ), Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC), or similar solutions.

  • Experience with agile methodologies and Azure DevOps an advantage.

  • Working knowledge of SQL and basic data analysis to support hands-on data quality investigations and audits.
