The Global Marketing organization at Neuberger Berman comprises key Centers of Excellence across Brand Experience, Content, Media Relations, and Channel Marketing, as well as Investment Communications and RFP. The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented Marketing Content Specialist focusing on commercial and promotional writing to join our in-house marketing team supporting our investment content, branded content, and product marketing efforts. In this role, you will craft compelling, audience-focused copy across various formats to drive engagement, increase website traffic, and support the firm’s sales and growth objectives. The ideal candidate has a firm grounding in UX principles, a knack for storytelling (with words and visuals), a deep understanding of financial concepts, and the ability to adapt messaging for diverse channels and audiences. You’ll have a with a keen expertise on digital content creation and work closely with colleagues in brand, product and thought leadership on recurring initiatives and specific campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Content Creation - writing persuasive and engaging promotional copy for various media including:

    • Websites: Homepage content, product pages, and landing pages.

    • Video and Podcast Scripts: Create scripts for interviews, explainer videos, and branded podcasts.

    • Emails: Craft subject lines, body copy, and CTAs for email campaigns.

    • Social Media: Create platform-specific posts for LinkedIn, Twitter, and other relevant channels.

    • Print Materials: Brochures, Flyers and Print Materials.

    • Campaigns: Brand and product marketing campaigns

  • Drive Traffic and Engagement

    • Collaborate with brand and channel partners to write SEO-optimized copy that drives website traffic and supports lead generation efforts.

    • Partner with social media managers to create engaging posts that increase follower growth and content sharing.

    • Work with campaign managers to create emails with high open and click-through rates.

  • Brand Consistency

    • Maintain the firm’s tone of voice and style guide across all written materials.

    • Ensure all content is compliant with regulatory requirements and aligns with internal brand guidelines.

  • Collaboration and Strategy

    • Partner with investment teams, product marketing, brand team and other stakeholders to distill complex financial concepts into clear, compelling messaging.

    • Collaborate with design, video production, and digital teams to align written content with visual assets.

    • Brainstorm and pitch innovative content ideas that enhance the firm’s visibility and thought leadership.

  • Editing and Optimization

    • Review and edit content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.

    • Continuously optimize copy based on analytics, user behavior, and performance metrics.

Qualifications and Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of professional writing experience, ideally in financial services, asset management, or a similar industry.

  • Proven ability to write for diverse formats, including digital platforms (websites, emails, social media), print, multimedia scripts, and effective AI prompts.

  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and user engagement strategies.

  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading and overall communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, compelling messaging.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • A strong commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with investment products, financial markets, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FINRA, SEC, etc) in asset management.

  • Experience writing SEO-optimized content

  • Experience using CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress)

  • Knowledge of digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and email marketing platforms (e.g., marketing cloud)

  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams (e.g., product marketing, design, compliance) and external stakeholders.

  • Creative thinker with a solution-oriented approach to crafting compelling, user-friendly, and impactful content.

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $95,000-$110,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
