Job Description
As part of the “Production Intelligence Project”, the Ubisoft Data Office team is in charge of creating and maintaining production data for our studios in order to share it with the consuming teams (marketing, sales, production...) and to the different levels of the hierarchy, homogeneous indicators.
As a data operations specialist, your role will be to ensure the quality of the information made available. Your goals will be to understand the data ecosystem and status, and to detect issues to subsequently envisage an optimal situation and schedule the steps for its attainment.
For this purpose, your tasks will be to:
- Define and promote a common language;
- Implement solutions to correct the existing system (via post-processing, as well as upstream via governance methods which you will define);
- Implement tools that will facilitate your future tasks. For this, you may rely on existing tools or create new ones with a focus on automation;
- Given this position's exposure within the Ubisoft organization, we seek a profile capable of guidance and assertiveness to establish long-term collaborations via a ripple effect on third party teams.
Your missions
- You will grasp the analytical needs of the company's various businesses and their ecosystems;
- You will maintain a knowledge base of the various data, its management rules and its life cycle;
- You will describe, document and explain the company’s data flows;
- You will develop an efficient map of the relevant data sources and of their local uses. You will then transpose these local uses into a unified vision and propose solutions to converge concepts and uses;
- You will act as a relay for the data's collection (inbound) and utilization (outbound);
- You will oversee the quality of the data, create and track indicators, identify reasons for non-quality/heterogeneity, and assess the impacts to propose and apply remedial and/or standardization plans.
Qualifications
- You have strong knowledge of the field of data management;
- You master data manipulation tools such as SQL, Excel, Sparks;
- You have a good understanding of data modeling;
- You have notions of Python or another programming language;
- Mastering visualization tools such as (Tableau, Power Bi…) is appreciated;
- Being familiar with data transformation processes (including ETL) is appreciated;
- You have excellent interpersonal skills and you are able to work with all types of people and you know how to simplify your explanations if necessary;
- You understand business needs and have the ability to make complex information accessible;
- You are thorough, organized, pragmatic and persistent;
- You like to find automated solutions to facilitate your work;
- You are fluent in English.
