About Woven by ToyotaWoven by Toyota, a part of the Toyota Group, is challenging the current state of mobility through human-centric innovation and empowering mobility transformation. Through our AD/ADAS technology, our automotive software development platform Arene OS, our mobility test course Toyota Woven City, and Toyota’s growth fund, Woven Capital, we are pioneering the movement of people, goods, information, and energy, weaving a future of enhanced safety, connectivity and well-being for all.
=========================================================================
TEAMThe Toyota Woven City is a city as a “Test Course” for mobility to be built at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan. It is envisioned as a "living laboratory” and "ever evolving," incorporating various types of cutting edge technologies. At the same time, it is also "human-centric," that is, it is expected to keep people safe and comfortable.  We expand “mobility” not only for people but also for goods or information. As for the mobility of goods, we’re developing innovative logistics services in Woven City by using delivery robots, smart devices and digital twin simulation technology. We think that super-easy movements of goods can change our value and lifestyle. Our big challenge for engineers are: 1.  Develop platform and services as mixture of hardware and software, running in the cloud and at the edge2. Make our services competitive with TPS (Toyota Production System) that is the origin of "Lean manufacturing system" or "Just-in-Time (JIT) system"
Our team will develop innovative logistics services that are essential to the city. As a first party developer, we will also build a platform upon which third party partners can participate. Therefore, we are responsible for not only the applications but also the core functionality and capabilities as the logistics platform.

  • Experience working with AWS, notably ECR, S3 and Batch. including containerization technology.
  • Passionate about improving autonomy through data
  • Ability to quickly learn and keep up to date with relevant research developments
  • Business-level written and spoken English

NICE TO HAVES

  • Master’s degree, Ph.D. or other relevant research experience
  • Experience with high-performance inference on edge devices
