As part of our commitment to our customers, we are dedicated to helping enable creative, automation-based solutions for all sizes of businesses and require an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team. The Ideal candidate will have several years’ experience in supporting Site Reliability, Devops Infrastructure on Google Cloud. You will ideally have proven experience with large scale GCP employments and migrations.  Your engagements will see you working directly with customers and prospects. You will have confidence in knowing your skills (and limitations), you are calm and collected under pressure and always available to mentor the less experienced. Your colleagues see you as a good team player who is keen to share knowledge as well as to listen and learn from others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and complete key tasks and deliverables, and collaborate with others to define and implement optimal, complete solutions based on stake holder’s needs. 
  • Deliver solutions that solve for new levels of complexity, scale, and performance, and in turn, enable breakthrough innovations. Create and apply frameworks, methods, best practices, and artifacts that deliver prescriptive guidance to customers, and publish and present the min large forums and across various media platforms. 
  • Technical depth and hands-on implementation experience of various practices and tools in the DevOps toolchain. 
  • Comfortable rolling up their sleeves to design and code modules for infrastructure, application, and processes. 
  • Administration, maintenance of cloud infrastructure, including on-call support, monitoring, security best practices, automation, deployment, and the formulation of reusable cloud infrastructure via (IAC) Terraform

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
  • A minimum of 8+ years of experience in supporting Site Reliability, DevOps, Infrastructure, and handling on-call duties within Cloud environments, with a preference for experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Proficiency in managing GCP services, including Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Compute Engine (GCE), Networking, Security, CI/CD pipelines, and other common Cloud technologies.
  • Proven experience working with very large-scale applications, computer systems, and networks.
  • Proficiency in Linux, TCP/IP, HTTP, MAIL protocols, DNS, content delivery networks  (CDN), load balancers, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficiency in constructing Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Helm Charts.
  • Proficiency in programming using Python, Golang, or Java, along with the ability to build CI/CD pipelines for deploying services in these languages.

  • Experience with the following is considered an advantage:  
  • Cloud databases and storage platforms, such as Storage Services (GCS), C loud SQL, Spanner, and Firestore.
  • Experience building transaction processing systems (OLTP) and/or larger scale analytics (OLAP) .
  • Machine Learning and AI platforms, such as Vertex AI, Generative AI, Big Query, Looker and DataProc.
The following information is required by pay transparency legislation in the following states: CA, CO, HI, NY and WA. This information applies only to individuals working in these states. 
The anticipated starting pay range for Colorado is: $116,100 - $170,280.
The anticipated starting pay range for Hawaii and New York (not including NYC) is: $123,600 - $181,280.
The anticipated starting pay range for California, New York City and Washington is: $135,300 - $198,440.
Based on eligibility, compensation for the role may include variable compensation in the form of bonus, commissions, or other discretionary payments.
These discretionary payments are based on company and/or individual performance, and may change at any time.
Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location.
