We're seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead our Executive Data Science and Analytics team. In this strategic role, reporting to the Head of Data Science, you'll guide a team of data scientists in delivering sophisticated analytics and data science solutions that drive executive decision-making. As we continue our rapid growth, your leadership will be crucial in shaping how data science influences our company's strategic direction.

What you'll do
  • Team Leadership & Development: Build and mentor a high-performing team of data scientists, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning. Drive career development and growth for team members while establishing best practices for the organization.
  • Strategic Analytics Leadership: Partner with the CEO and Leadership Team to identify, prioritize, and execute high-impact data science initiatives. Transform complex business challenges into structured analytical problems that your team can solve.
  • Executive Partnership: Serve as the primary data science advisor to executive leadership, translating complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies. Present findings and recommendations that influence company-wide decisions.
  • Analytics Infrastructure: Guide the development of robust, scalable analytics infrastructure and processes that enable rapid insight generation
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Build strong partnerships across Finance, Product, Engineering, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment of data science initiatives with business objectives.
Who you are
  • Proven Leader: 8+ years of data science and analytics experience with demonstrated success in managing and scaling data science teams, preferably in high-growth technology companies. 2+ years of people management or entrepreneurship experience.
  • Technical Expert: Highly proficient in at least one of scripting languages (Python, R, etc.), Looker semantic modeling, as well as modern data stack, including SQL, Github, dbt, Airflow to execute analytics projects.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business fundamentals and experience translating business problems into technical solutions. Experience working directly with executive stakeholders.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to balance short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives. Experience in roadmap planning and resource allocation.
  • Outstanding Communicator: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Experience presenting to and influencing executive stakeholders.
  • Product Mindset: Understanding of product development lifecycle and how to integrate data science solutions into product strategy.
  • Change Agent: Track record of driving organizational change through data-driven insights and building buy-in across stakeholder groups.

For work locations in the San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, New York City, and Los Angeles, the base salary range for this role is:$257,000—$363,600 USDFor all other work locations (including remote), the base salary range for this role is:$231,000—$327,500 USD
