Objective of the RoleThe role of Data Governance Analyst within the Analytics offshore team focuses on governing data to enable innovative Analytics transformation using Data Engineering, Analytics, Data Science Visualization, and BI solutions to deliver tangible value. It emphasizes using advanced data governance tools to analyze data, guide business decisions, and identify potential risks.Key AccountabilitiesKey Responsibilities:This role requires challenging the status quo, focusing on delivering business outcomes, and championing data, technology, and collaboration to shape the future. As part of a passionate data-driven team, you will engage stakeholders to ensure Data Governance Metrics are met pre-go-live. Work with clients to design and implement tailored data governance solutions. Build data maps using Collibra/MS Visio, maintain Critical Data Registers, Records of Processing Activities (ROPA), and unstructured records. Leverage SQL querying and implement JIRA admin tasks like JQL Queries, Filters, and Dashboards. Automate processes using Python, VBA, or other scripts and drive improvements. Confidently understand diverse stakeholder needs, lead groups to consensus, and bridge business-technology gaps. Manage multiple priorities systematically and effectively.Requirements:Experience in Data Governance processes (4-6 years) with SDLC knowledge (Agile & Waterfall). Proven ability to create SOPs, set up project governance frameworks, manage risks with early warning systems, and handle technical and business stakeholders. Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to make decisive and informed decisions regarding people, costs, risks, and communications.Person SpecificationKey job requirements:Data Governance expertise with 4-6 years of experience. Understanding of data elements, finance data, QLIK/Power BI, JIRA, SQL, and Collibra. Highly self-organized with skills in Excel (Pivoting, Lookups, Macros), JIRA, risk and control management, incident and breach handling, and data quality management.Key Capabilities/Technical CompetenciesHighly Valued:Good understanding of insurance products, market environments, customer segments, and key business drivers. Strong finance knowledge, including budgeting and forecasting.Additional Requirements:Creativity and innovation to challenge norms and deliver practical solutions. Strong communication to co-design with customers and present complex ideas. Strategic focus to evaluate company and customer strategies and stay updated on best practices.
