Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced GCP Expert for our Digitization division at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. As a GCP Expert in Data Engineering and Cloud Solutions, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and optimizing scalable cloud data solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Your expertise will be instrumental in creating robust data pipelines, implementing efficient data architectures, and collaborating with various teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions. Experience

1. If you have in-depth expertise in GCP infrastructure design and optimization, coupled with a strong background in data engineering, this role is perfect for you. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and managing secure GCP-based infrastructure, optimizing cloud resources for efficiency and performance, and developing robust data pipelines using tools like BigQuery, Dataproc, and Cloud Functions. Additionally, you will be involved in managing containerized workloads using Kubernetes, architecting storage solutions on Firestore, and ensuring data quality, security, and governance across all processes.
   • Expand and enhance your data engineering expertise by building ETL/ELT workflows, developing event-driven architectures, and collaborating closely with stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions that meet business requirements.
   • Stay updated on the latest GCP services, automate workflow processes to drive efficiency, and implement monitoring and logging best practices for enhanced reliability.

Qualifications

1. If you possess the technical expertise required to excel in this role, including a deep understanding of GCP services like BigQuery, Dataproc, Cloud Functions, and Kubernetes (GKE), along with hands-on experience in data engineering and cloud economics, we want to hear from you. Your qualifications will be further enhanced if you hold certifications such as Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer or Google Cloud Architect.

General Requirements

• In addition to the specific technical qualifications, we are looking for someone who has experience in implementing data governance practices, ensuring compliance with security policies, and dealing with streaming data processing tools like Dataflow or Apache Kafka. Your understanding of modern data practices such as data lakehouses and data mesh will be an added advantage in this role.
