Our team heavily relies on data and interaction metrics captured by our analytics systems which need to be in top-shape condition. As an Analytics Specialist you should bridge the gap between product development and data analytics, ensuring that event tracking is implemented correctly, remains robust amid platform changes, and maintains high data quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in a full-time Analyst, Data Science, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Python (or a similar language) for data analysis, system monitoring, and debugging.
  • Intermediate understanding of SQL.
  • Strong data investigation and root cause analysis skills for working with large datasets.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and/or other web and mobile application tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
  • A strong attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring data integrity.
  • Great communication skills, with fluency in English.

 

The responsibilities of a Analytics Specialist

  • Thorough understanding of the company tracking systems (either internal or external) and the way each operates.
  • In-depth knowledge of the events and metrics used by our products.
  • Ensure data correctness across the different tracking platforms used within the company.
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable event monitoring systems that detect anomalies and identify changes in behavior.
  • Collaborate with the product and development teams to ensure new features are tracked accurately and meaningfully.
  • Proactively search for data anomalies, identify potential causes, and escalate findings to the appropriate teams.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for event tracking and instrumentation across the organization.
  • Contribute to and maintain comprehensive documentation on tracking implementations, data models, and event taxonomies.
  • Create dashboards to monitor and outline tracking requirements and issues.
