Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is searching for senior Data Scientist to support OSD DOT&E, you will be assisting the Strategic Initiatives, Policy & Emerging Technologies office in identifying OT&E/LFT&E needs, gaps, and potential solutions, assisting in crafting new ways of doing business, and to support Service and agency operational test organizations solve problems.

Responsibilities

As a senior Data Scientist supporting OSD DOT&E, you will be assisting the Strategic Initiatives, Policy & Emerging Technologies office in identifying OT&E/LFT&E needs, gaps, and potential solutions, assisting in crafting new ways of doing business, and to support Service and agency operational test organizations solve problems.  The work location is located primarily in the Arlington, VA area.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

• Provide subject matter expertise in warfighting technologies and capabilities for AI.
• Identify gaps in doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership, personnel, facilities, and policy (DOTMLPF-P), concepts, technologies, and processes.
• Ensure capability development, prototyping, experimentation, and analytic initiatives adequately address priority AI gaps to accelerate delivery of capability to the warfighter.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Data Scientist.
• Excellent spoken, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in using data science toolkits and data visualization tools.
• Demonstrated applied statistics skills, including understanding distributions, statistical testing, regression, and more.
• Utilize machine learning techniques and/or artificial intelligence to improve data analytics.

Desired Requirements:

• OSD, Joint Staff, and/or Service Staff experience.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelors in relevant field, Masters Desired.

Certifications Desired:

• None

Clearance Requirements:

• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility. 
• U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
