The Database Warehouse Analyst plays a vital role in designing, developing, and maintaining Taylor Corporation’s data warehouse systems and related data marts using SQL Server and Microsoft Fabric. This position requires a strong technical foundation in database architecture, metadata creation, and data repository management to ensure the availability and integrity of data for business intelligence needs. Acting as a bridge between Data Analytics and business units, you will help identify information requirements, troubleshoot operational issues, and generate insights that drive informed decision-making, particularly in marketing. Some background in Marketing Analytics or business analytics is highly important to enable the candidate to work closely with Marketing Managers and clients, understand their business needs and problems and be able to design and execute solutions using data architecture, warehousing and analytics. Strong communication skills and ability to clearly translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders are essential.

Your Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage database architecture, metadata, and data repositories to support data warehouse and related data mart environments within SQL Server and Microsoft Fabric.
• Automate and improve existing manual or partially automated SQL processes as well as create new automated processes for new clients and projects in the MS SQL and MS Fabric environments.
• Maintain and document the architecture, data flows, business rules and processes of the data warehouse environment.
• Perform data mining and analytics to deliver business insights.
• Collaborate closely with business units to determine specific business needs, translating them into technical specifications and framing technical solutions to business problems.
• Create dashboards, visualizations and reports for marketing analytics
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and reliability in all warehouse and reporting processes. Be able to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

You Must Have:

• 4+ years of related experience
• Proficiency in SQL Server, including advanced SQL for complex querying, data extraction, and transformation
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric for data management, analysis, and reporting
• Demonstrated expertise in ETL processes, data modeling, and data integration
• Experience solving business problems using analytics as well as experience framing technical solutions based on business rules provided by non-technical team members, creating technical SOW’s and project plans
• Experience with business intelligence tools, such as Tableau, Power BI or SSRS, for reporting and visualization
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with IT and business teams, translating technical language into business context

We Would Also Prefer:

• Familiarity with programming languages, such as Python or R, to support data analysis, predictive analytics, and automation tasks
• Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies for efficient project management
• Experience cleansing and formatting large data files to prep them for processing and analytics in the SQL Server/MS Fabric environments
• Experience working with professional associations and certifying bodies in an IT or data analytics related role
• Creative approach to problem solving
• Strong strategic thinking as it relates to optimizing and improving marketing tactics using data strategy
