The OpportunityOur Canadian Advanced Analytics (AA) team is searching for a dedicated Senior Data Scientist to work on innovative initiatives! Our team is committed to building solutions that increase efficiency, improve processes, and personalize experiences using AI, ML, and analytics. We are seeking a person who can deliver the end-to-end analytics life cycle, from data exploration to insights analysis, and work closely with business units and data office IT teams to deliver solutions that exceed our partners’ expectations.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze large, complex data sets and apply statistical and machine learning techniques to derive insights and predict outcomes.
  • Implement model evaluation techniques, communicate results to team members, and measure the performance of predictions/impact.
  • Apply explainability methodologies to identify key drivers behind model predictions and determine next-best actions accordingly.
  • Quickly spin up applications and deploy model training and inference services/APIs.
  • Build high-quality, maintainable, modular, and scalable frameworks that enable broad-spectrum inference applications,, ensuring reusability and efficiency.
  • Implement A/B testing and other experimental designs to demonstrate the added value of the delivered analytical solutions.
  • Explore and evaluate new data sources to continuously improve models and algorithms.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the field of data science and share knowledge with the team.
  • Collaborate regularly with multidisciplinary experts to ensure analytical outputs solve important business challenges, enable transformational change and analytical maturity, and demonstrate the business value of delivered solutions.

What We Are Looking For
  • Over 5 years’ experience in data science, machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, operations research, and statistics (in combination with related Masters/PhD programs).
  • Excellent data wrangling, data preprocessing, and data visualization skills.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, and knowledge of agile solution development principles.
  • Hands-on experience with VSCode, Git, MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, Azure cloud platform, and Azure services such as Azure Databricks and Cognitive Services (Azure certifications are a plus).
  • Experience in developing and deploying model training and inference services/APIs for scalable applications.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary range is expected to be between

$94,220.00 CAD - $174,980.00 CAD
