Job Description

Calling all graduate students! We are currently seeking a superstar Data Science Intern to join the Fabletics team for Summer 2025. 

What You’ll Do: The Data Science Intern will work with the Fabletics Data Analytics team and Data Science team to identify and implement improvements to existing and create new algorithms and processes.  

• Work within existing data and code frameworks to select, process, evaluate and process data into specified formats 

• Partner with team members and stakeholders to identify accessible opportunities most likely to improve existing and/or create new data science algorithms and processes 

• QA and document these algorithms and processes 

• Identify and resolve and performance and scaling bottlenecks in these algorithms and processes 

• Learn about Fabletics technical infrastructure stack and gain hands on experience using it 

• Available areas of focus include product recommendation algorithms, time series analysis and prediction, semantic data modelling and visualization, and retrieval augmented generative AI, RAG. The internship will focus on one of these areas appropriate to the intern’s interests and skills. 

Who You Are:   

• Preferred majors/minors in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems or other related fields. 

• Familiar with SQL, Python, and general data exploration, analysis and visualization 

• Analytical thinker with logical structuring skills and ability to communicate thought processes articulately 

• Ability to learn quickly and multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment 

The Intern Gig: We are looking for enthusiastic students with ambition to go far. Our full-time paid internship program will give you a chance to gain in-depth knowledge of what it is like to be a part of our fast-paced and innovative company. Our interns have the unique opportunity to gain real work experience, while participating in skill-building workshops and interactive social activities throughout the duration of the internship assignment. 

Our summer internship program will be in our El Segundo, CA headquarters and will run for 10 weeks from June 16th-August 22nd. We operate on a hybrid work schedule where employees must be willing and able to work in-office Tuesday-Thursday each week, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. We will not be considering remote or non-local applicants at this time. 

The hourly range for this position is $33.50-$37.50. The hourly rate offered will be dependent on factors including the scope and complexity of the role, candidate’s related work experience, subject matter expertise, and work location.
