We have an opportunity for a Sustainability Data Analyst to join our Environmental Social Governance (ESG) team in Golden Valley, MN. You will be an integral part of the sustainability team which aims to develop and execute strategies to amplify Pentair’s leadership solving the world’s most challenging water challenges. As part of this dynamic team, you will be responsible for maintaining Pentair’s carbon and water data management programs, including scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) / carbon footprint, as well as assisting to build out new sustainability data programs aligned with international standards and requirements.
** You will work a hybrid work schedule for this position, with 3 days/week in-office in Golden Valley, MN. ** #LI-Hybrid
You will:
- Collect, perform quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), analyze GHG/carbon and water data, and support program updates, changes in methodology and annual audit/assurance processes.
- Collaborate with Pentair manufacturing sites and operations teams to track capital and operational project expenses related to sustainability.
- Partner with the Environmental Data Impact Manager to create, document, and maintain data collection processes and supporting documentation for core sustainability data and metrics, as well as data provided by other cross functional teams.
- Collaborate with Environmental Data Impact Manger and IT teams to plan, develop, and execute automated data processes.
- Utilize data analytics tools, including sustainability software platforms and Power BI, to create and maintain dashboards for key sustainability performance indicators.
- Partner within the team and cross-functionally to ensure data management programs follow best-in-class practices and are compliant with all applicable reporting standards including GHG protocol, corporate sustainability reporting directives (CSRD), and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Key Qualifications:
- Have earned a bachelor’s (B.A. or B.S.) degree.
- Have professional experience in data analytics, including data qualification, verification, analysis, reporting, and collating, specifically with large data sets.
- Ability to utilize multiple tools, databases, and/or software to manipulate, analyze, and visually summarize large amounts of data. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
- Experience in sustainability, environmental health & safety (EHS), audit, controlling, finance, or financial planning & analysis (FP&A) a plus.
- High level of attention to detail, ability to manage complex data sets, and required outcomes essential to ensure compliance with global reporting standards.
- Self-motivated, self-directed, and able to multi-task a large variety of projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent communication skills (listening, writing, and speaking), including an ability to influence.
Compensation:
For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $71000 - $131800 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentive bonus.
