Associate Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst, you will be crucial to extracting, manipulating, maintaining, and presenting data from various sources to create actionable reports and dashboards. You will be responsible for analyzing data and summarizing findings for business groups across multiple areas, such as operations, sales and finance. This role will require you to solve business problems using data analytics to guide organizational decisions.

  • Data Extraction and Analysis: Extract, manipulate, and present data in the form of dashboards and reports that aid in business decision-making across departments, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
  • Statistical and Analytical Modeling: Use statistical tools and analytical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights in data.
  • Data Visualization: Design and maintain data systems and visualizations (using tools like SQL and Power BI) to ensure clear communication of data trends and actionable insights.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders and departments to understand their data needs, acquire necessary data, and ensure that data is organized and formatted for analysis and decision-making.
  • Data Quality and Reporting: Capture, develop, and document data definitions, business rules, and data quality requirements.
  • Business Insights: Present complex data in a way that tells a compelling story, empowering decision-makers to chart the best course of action. Create forecasts, reports, and dashboards to support strategic decisions.
  • Business knowledge: Understand and translate business knowledge and process into data driven and analytical tools.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry best practices and methodologies for data analytics, data visualization, and statistical modeling.
  • Communication: Exhibit strong communication skills, clearly conveying technical concepts to stakeholders across different levels of the organization.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, or equivalent of experience in related field.

Experience:

  • 0-1 year(s) of relevant experience in a data analyst or reporting role or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Experience with PowerBI, Minitab, Excel (Advanced), SQL, and ERPs is beneficial

Travel: Minimal travel expected.

Working Environment:

Near the manufacturing floor. Open floorplan

Physical Demands:

Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time. Ability to work on PC’s/monitors for long periods of time

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

Full-time position scheduled Monday-Friday with majority of time on-site (some flexibility)

Pay Transparency Notice: 

Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range from $69,450 to $76,650. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Compensation for roles at GN depend on a wide array of factors including but not limited to location, role, skill set, and level of experience. To remain competitive, GN offers a competitive benefits package, including annual bonuses, health insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off and paid holidays.
