Front End Engineer

We're seeking a Front-End Engineer to drive technical excellence across our engineering stack. In this role, you will:

• Implement responsive UI components, state management solutions, and modern web technologies to create exceptional user experiences.
• Architect and develop scalable web applications using modern web frameworks ensuring code quality and best practices across frontend systems.
• Lead front-end development through complex technical challenges, providing mentorship and guidance while maintaining high standards of engineering excellence.
• Design database schema and APIs to support business requirements and system scalability.
• Collaborate with product, design, data engineering, data science and MLOps teams to deliver innovative solutions while making key technical decisions that shape our platform's future.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and implement scalable front-end applications using modern front-end frameworks.
• Consume APIs (such as RESTful, GRPC, GraphQL etc).
• Lead development of new components/visuals and maintain existing codebase.
• Implement automated testing and deployment strategies.
• Optimize application performance and resolve technical debt.
• Review code and provide technical mentorship/leadership to other engineers.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to define technical requirements.
• Establish coding standards and development best practices.
• Document technical specifications and system architecture.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES. AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in front-end development.
• Deep expertise in modern CSS frameworks and component libraries (Tailwind, Material-UI).
• Extensive frontend development expertise with modern JavaScript frameworks (React preferred).
• Superb experience building and maintaining scalable web applications and APIs.
• Strong system design and architecture skills.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting abilities.
• Expertise with automated testing like JavaScript testing framework (Jest).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must have mobility to attend meetings remotely and in person.

Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 0% - 10% of the time.

Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 0% - 10% of the time.

Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to write, type and use a telephone system 100% of the time.

Sitting: Sitting for prolonged and extended periods of time.
