The Senior Data & Analytics Specialist role within GBS involves developing analytics models for finance processes, building relationships with stakeholders, and serving as the main contact for finance teams. The responsibilities include identifying project opportunities, defining project scope, extracting, and transforming data, applying statistical methods, presenting insights, and providing ongoing support to FeV teams. The ideal candidate should have experience in data analytics, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and delivering insightful reports and visualizations. As a senior data analytics analyst, you will lead projects in areas such as data analytics, financial forecasting, and competitive insights. Effective communication, collaboration, and a strong understanding of healthcare and pharma finance are crucial for success in this role.
Main Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and organize data from various sources using tools like SQL, Power Query, etc.
- Perform complex data analysis using statistical and analytical techniques such as regression analysis, clustering, or time series analysis.
- Develop data dashboards, reports, and visual presentations using data visualization tools like Power BI or Spotfire.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and provide data support, leveraging strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Extract, transform, and load financial data for analytics models using ETL processes and data integration techniques.
- Coordinate with global consolidation and technology teams for effective data coordination using platforms like SAP/BW, FSA/HANA, and Oracle.
- Support ad-hoc analysis requests from the business, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills.
- Develop and maintain KPI dashboards using data visualization and reporting tools.
- Create analytics capabilities for financial and process KPIs using advanced analytics techniques and models.
- Connect with different systems for data retrieval and maintenance, with proficiency in SQL.
- Stay updated with the latest data analytics tools, techniques, and industry best practices to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business Information Systems, Computer Science/MIS, Finance/Accounting, Engineering, or Science.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as Power BI/Spotfire
- Strong working knowledge of SQL
- Analytical problem solver with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Persistent, driven, and self-motivated attitude
- Collaborative with excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with global and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools and techniques
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality and accuracy
- Familiarity with scrum methodologies and project management principles
- Ability to identify data, analytics, and research needs to inform finance strategies.
- Strong leadership skills and growth mindset
- Familiarity with ETL processes and tools for data integration and transformation
- Experience with statistical modeling techniques and their applications in business contexts
- Deep understanding of the industry and business operations (a plus)
- Minimum of 5-6 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, planning, and analysis/ATR
- Fluency in English required.
