Who You’ll Work With

The Chief Data Office consists of the Advanced Practices Unit, Advanced Analytics COE, and Enterprise Data Management and Strategy teams. We are seeking a Head of Data Management and Strategy to oversee all aspect of Corebridge Financial’s data management practices, including developing and executing the overall data and artificial intelligence (AI) strategy, ensuring data quality, implementing data governance policies, and utilizing data to drive value and improved business outcomes across business units and functions.

About The Role

Reporting to the Chief Data Officer, the Head of Enterprise Data Management and Strategy will play a critical role in integrating our core data and analytics, and partnering with key internal and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and Execute Corebridge’s Data and AI strategy: Create an enterprise data and AI strategy that is aligned with business goals and organizational timeframes. 
  • Drive Enterprise Data Governance Adoption: Lead Corebridge’s enterprise data governance efforts to establish appropriate policies and procedures to ensure data quality, accuracy, security, and compliance. 
  • Implement a Future Ready Data and AI Architecture: Partner with technology to oversee the design and implementation of Corebridge’s data and AI infrastructure inclusive of tools, technology, etc.
  • Build Data Product Management as a Core Competency: Generate value by developing, managing, and improving data products from conception to implementation and beyond. 
  • Facilitate Change Management and Value Realization: Ensure that we bring the organization along the data and AI transformation journey, while realizing value from the investments we make.
  • Establish a Data-Driven Culture: Be a data culture carrier that aligns Corebridge’s data aspirations with strategic business objectives, fostering an environment where data underpins all facets of decision-making and curiosity.
  • Engage and Manage Key Stakeholders: Drive informed decision making and incubate internal networks by effectively communicating to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Apply an External Orientation: Proactively seek out emerging industry trends and create analysis frameworks to effectively answer strategic questions that inform growth strategies.
  • Develop the Next Generation of Talent: Recruit, retain, and grow data talent that balances technology, data, analytics, and business expertise.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 15+ years of related experience in senior leadership role driving data and analytics solutions.
  • Communication: strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling messages for stakeholders.
  • Strong Analytical Thinking & Problem Solver: Ability to breakdown complex issues into smaller addressable solutions; can take a strategic point of view in formulating actions and solutions.
  • Forward Thinking: Demonstrates the ability to stay updated on data trends and generative AI capabilities, which can enhance the organization’s long-term success.
  • Change Leadership: Demonstrates execution on enterprise change initiatives, leveraging innovative thinking, analytical capabilities, and business strategy.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to influence and take stakeholders, partners, and team along in driving the change; knows how to communicate 'what' to avoid surprises or issues with all partners; a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong People Leader: Sets clear direction to the teams and actionable deliverables; data driven and manages through metrics; strong coach and people developer; ability to assess talent consistently and fairly.

This role is deemed a “covered associate” under SEC Rule 206(4)-5, 17 CFR § 275.206(4)-5, Political contributions by certain investment advisers, and other federal and state pay-to-play rules. Candidates for the role must not have made any political contributions that, under 17 CFR § 275.206(4)-5 or other federal or state pay-to-play regulations, would disqualify the candidate or Corebridge Financial from conducting Corebridge Financial’s business, or that would otherwise create a conflict of interest for Corebridge Financial. Applicants who are selected to move forward with the application process will be required to disclose all U.S. political contributions they and their household family members have made over the past two years.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $200,000 to $250,000. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications.

Work Location

This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s Houston, TX office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
