Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. First to deliver the best imaging and classification data for every defect or point on any layer at any time. EBeam’s mission encapsulates its role as the “eyes” of KLA’s product line, providing timely information on defects and critical locations on the wafer at the highest spatial resolution possible. Customers use EBeam products alongside KLA patterned and bare wafer inspectors to quickly understand the nature of defects and other imperfections on product wafers and take action to correct the manufacturing process.

The eBeam division of KLA invites you to be part of a visionary team that serves sophisticated product lines, providing critical, high-resolution insights into defects and wafer data by using innovative Artificial Intelligence and classical Computer Vision algorithms! In this role, you’ll solve outstanding and fast paced challenges that push the boundaries of HPC compute architecture: Innovative Systems and Next-

Generation Hybrid Architecture.

Day-Day activities:

• Plan, build, mount, install and upgrade modern HPC systems with CPUs and GPUs.
• Install and enable pre-release hardware for early-stage evaluation and prototyping.
• Study feasibility and value of migrating to new versions and distributions of Linux on existing hardware.
• Enable exploring modern HPC software for adoption into KLA’s tools.
• Coordinate existing HPC clusters with CPUs, GPUs, and accelerators (in-house, and at-customer-site).
• Own CI/CD pipelines that ensure stability of system-level HPC software deployed to internal customers.
• Coordinate with appropriate vendors for equipment purchasing, shipping, RMA’s
• Documentation – Ability to produce detailed documentation according to as build docs, Visio drawings
• Support our installation base onsite at customer sites, travel (10%) to fix the issues at onsite
• Support and conduct internal audits, help mitigate findings and implement improvement measures.
• Hands-on experience with IaaS (terraform or similar technologies), PaaS
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals and Knowledge of protocols, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP

Your Encouraged Background

• Bachelors / Masters in computer science or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of previous experience deploying and administrating Linux servers
• Deep understanding of operating systems, computer networks, and high-performance applications
• Strong Scripting Skills (Bash, Python)
• Proven understanding of Docker or other container based systems
• Experience with system management and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, collected (and its plugins)
• Ability to work well with developers & test engineers
• Passion to maintain a stable high-quality cluster amidst all odds!

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 5 years; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 12 years

Base Pay Range: $180,000.00 - $306,000.00 Annually

Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA
